Maintenance/Facilities Services Department



Salary: £36,000 to £42,000 (subject to knowledge and experience)

Benefits: Company van, fuel card, and pension

Reporting to: Head of Department (Maintenance)


Corrigenda are a successful privately-owned commercial facilities business, delivering mechanical & electrical and building fabrications works to private and public-sector customers.

Due to recent expansion and reorganisation we are looking to recruit managers with a ‘can do’ attitude who are customer focused and commercially aware.


You must have proven knowledge and understanding of what is involved in a successful Facilities Services based contract, and lead the continuous development of the relationship with the client and associated contract specialists.

We are looking for someone who is professional and confident in a client facing environment and can communicate effectively with stakeholders.


Typical ‘everyday tasks’ you would be involved with include (but not limited to):

  • Planning and managing of reactive and planned maintenance work to ensure SLA and KPI standards are maintained at all times, which could include database and excel spreadsheet manipulation and reporting
  • Quoting works giving detailed breakdowns and possible exclusions and limitations
  • Monitoring budgets and contract financials
  • Dealing with technical escalation from engineers and clients
  • Client liaison and communication with formal weekly, monthly, quarterly meetings which would include presenting
  • Delegation of tasks to staff and supervision of those tasks to deadlines and monitoring progress
  • Managing and motivation of people and basic human resource issues
  • Managing absence, improvement plans and disciplinary processes
  • Health and safety management and promotion of positive attitude to H&S
  • Managing accuracy of job information via the helpdesk
  • To be part of a management out of hours rota liaising with client, workforce and sub-contractors
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and current legislation



The role will involve all aspects of ‘performance management’ as follows:

  • People and Personal Management

    • Carry out internal performance appraisals
    • Carry out regular review meetings with sub-contractors to ensure standards are maintained
    • Ensure all monthly reports are completed and forwarded to appropriate clients
    • Overall responsibility for portfolio of contracts in relation to performance both financially and in line contract requirements
    • Responsible for the undertaking of quality assurance inspections on a predetermined amount of all works delivered and record

Knowledge and Experience


  • NVQ 3 in relevant M&E discipline (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record delivering high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Good knowledge of quality assurance systems
  • Excellent people management skills
  • IT literate with packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel


  • IOSH Managing Safely or CITB GE700 training in Health & Safety
