Electrician – Small works / projects

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 (subject to knowledge and experience)

Corrigenda are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated electrical engineer to carry out refurbishment / installation works on electrical systems such as lighting, small power, emergency lighting other electrical services.

The job will be based from our Fareham office however will cover sites in, but not limited to, Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex. The type of properties worked on will include schools, Universities, Library’s, Hospitals, offices, Police / Fire stations, Care homes and leisure centers

Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):

• Replacement of single and 3 phase distribution boards
• Replacement lighting systems to LED and incorporation of new controls / sensors etc
• Installation of a variety of containment systems, both metal & plastic
• Running new sub mains in both singles within containment / SWA cabling
• Installation of new power systems
• Testing of new / existing installations
• Diagnose faults on various electrical systems such as lighting, small power, emergency lighting other electrical services in buildings and carry out necessary remedial repairs.
• Small remedial tasks such as emergency light replacement, single socket installations etc
• Happy to work at height up to 8m to carry out replacement lights etc in halls, lobby areas and streetlight etc. (All necessary equipment / training provided)
• Work flexible working hours to suit business requirements
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, other engineers, end users on site and general public at all times
• Work on own or as part of team to meet required deadlines and contract performance standards
• Any other tasks required by company within skill set / experience

Knowledge and Experience:


NVQ 2 or 3 in relevant Electrical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Recognised Health & Safety training
• Proven track record / experience in similar role
• Flexibility in working out of hours / weekends, as and when client requirements dictate need
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
• Ability to work well on own or as part of team
• IT literate
• Used to working at height
• Full driving licence / willingness to travel
• Pass DBS checks for working in schools


• 18th Edition training
• City and Guilds 2391 certificate for inspection and test
• Current CSCS card
