HR Business Partner / Manager

Full Time / Monday – Friday

Whiteley – will be required to travel to other offices across the South

£45,000 – £50,000 per annum

Corrigenda are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate HR Manager who will be part of the strategic management team and work closely with the Senior Management team, to develop and achieve company objectives.

The role:
The HR Manager will work with the management team in a varied remit across general HR, performance management, recruitment, new employment issues, staff development, disciplinary, HR procedures and employment law. You will be handling high-level, fast paced operational HR & Talent issues and you must be flexible, adaptable and willing to deal with the day to day HR activities as and when required.

Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):

  • Work closely with the senior management team to develop and implement people related improvement plans that drive business
  • Manage the development and implementation of new HR policies and procedures
  • ER case work, employment law, advising/coaching managers, trade unions and TUPE projects
  • Successfully deliver in-house coaching, training and support to managers in HR related activities
  • Update and maintain our CAFM system as required, holiday & absence recording, employee, and training records
  • Oversee the company wide recruitment process. Whole lifecycle from recruitment approvals, advertising, interviewing, selection, contracts and employment checks, induction, headcount reporting and leavers exit interviews
  • Lead on engagement and wellbeing activities, improving culture and ways of working and embedding company values
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of employment law

Person profile:

• CIPD Level 7 qualified or CIPD Level 5 qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience and working towards gaining level 7
• Educated to degree level or relevant work experience
• Strong commercial mindset
• Have significant generalist HR business partnering experience
• Demonstrable experience of supporting growth activity including responding to requests for information including costings; providing support to acquisitions, joint ventures, bids; and managing TUPE transfers in and out
• Proven success in supporting large-scale projects and complex change/transformation initiatives
• Considerable experience of supporting line managers with complex and/or high risk employee relations cases including preparing for employment tribunals and working with external legal counsel
• Work well in a team and in a collaborative and consultative approach
• Strong inter-personal skills, including written, verbal and non-verbal communication
• Happy to be hands-on with HR admin duties
• Possess effective negotiation and influencing skills


  • Basic salary between £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
