Last Wednesday seven Churches staff and engineers completed the HCS Safety First Aid training day at our head office in Segensworth.
Run by Tim Greaves, Course Director, the training day focussed on achieving the Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work. Participants were firstly briefed on the legal responsibilities of providing a safe environment for everyone in the organisation.
This involved Health & Safety Regulations and accident and incident reporting at work. Later on participants were taught basic CPR and recovery techniques and then assessed on their ability to assist someone who has been injured. Everyone who took part in the training received their certificate and notification that they had passed.
