We are looking to recruit a Bid Writer with a successful track record, who has experience and understanding of the Facilities Services and Maintenance industry. You will report to the Head of Business Support and work closely with the sales team and senior managers across the company to coordinate, prepare, write, and submit tenders / bids for both the maintenance and projects / capital works departments. The role will play a vital part in the company meeting its strategic objectives. The role will afford the successful candidate the flexibility to work from home, as well as hot desking at our various offices across the South
Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):
• End to end management of the tender process including coordinating
• Research the client and understand their requirements to ensure this is captured when answering the quality questionnaires
• Analyse client tender documents, extracting key information
• Writing captivating, clear, and concise responses to technical questionnaires that are tailored to the specifics of the contract or the customer
• Liaising with stakeholders to gather key information to be able to successfully complete the tender
• Working to strict deadlines
• Preparing presentations for the tender process and attending potential new client interviews if required
• Utilise client feedback received to ensure continuous improvement
• Track win/loss ratio of all tenders and report to senior management monthly
• Being part of the mobilisation of successful tenders to ensure the knowledge is passed to the operational team
• Assist with content writing for company marketing material
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Essential
• Bid/proposal writing background
• Advanced MS Word Skills & proficient in MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Proven track record of developing successful proposals
• Flexible and committed to meeting client and internal deadlines
• Excellent analytical skills
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and workloads
• Strong team player
Desirable
• Strong facilities industry knowledge
