Accounts Assistant (Purchase Ledger) - Part Time

Location: Whiteley

Salary Package: £25,000-£27,000 (Pro-Rata)+ Benefits

32 hours per week/Monday to Friday

Corrigenda, an outstanding Facilities Management company is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Accounts Assistant (Purchase Ledger) to join their Finance team.

 The Role:

This is an essential role in a busy finance department that is accountable and responsible for the company’s purchase ledger (accounts payable), ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all incoming invoices and assisting with preparation of weekly bank payments.

The successful applicant will have good attention to detail and organisation skills to ensure monthly deadlines are met. This role will also help to undertake general admin responsibilities such as answering the phone, responding to emails, and dealing with general account related queries.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Responsible for and processing supplier invoices efficiently using electronic document processing software
• Processing and verifying staff expenses
• Ensuring all invoices and staff expenses are allocated correctly
• Reconciling supplier accounts statements and direct debits, requiring accuracy and the ability to problem solve
• Reconciling company payment card statements
• Verifying new suppliers set ups in the finance system
• Preparation of monthly Report Expenses Analysis
• Assisting in preparation and processing weekly payment run
• Assisting payroll on a monthly basis
• Assisting the Finance supervisor when required
• Ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of suppliers queries;
• Dealing and prioritising with incoming post

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

• Sound knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel (Essential)
• Excellent written and verbal communication (Essential)
• Be highly organised and numerate with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and analytical skills.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload, managing tasks and problem-solving skills (Essential)
• Continuous improvement mindset and working in a changing environment experience (Desired)
• Relevant experience within a similar role (Essential)
• Part qualified accountant (Desired)
