Head of Finance

FULL Time 

Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 (subject to knowledge and experience)

and develop the best talent in the industry. Corrigenda are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Head of Finance who will be part of the strategic management team to develop and achieve company objectives.

The role:
Reporting to the CEO, this role leads the Finance Department in its support of the business by working closely with the operational teams providing financial guidance and assisting them to improve efficiency. This role takes ownership of all financial and statutory reporting, tax, VAT, treasury, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting
and longer-term financial planning. This is an opportunity for a proactive, commercially focused Finance professional to drive the department forward within a growing business.

Some travel to our other offices will be required from time to time.

Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):

Take overall responsibility for the services delivered by the finance team, and to ensure appropriate, efficient and effective financial systems and controls are in place within the department in order to minimise risk
To manage the annual audit, including liaison with auditors and preparation of accounts
Provide knowledge and inspirational leadership, development, training and coaching to the Finance staff
Preparation of monthly management accounts
To support the senior management team in the analysis of monthly results and review Contract performance on a regular basis
Work with senior management team members to develop the annual budgets and liaise with them to ensure that budgets are delivered effectively
To hold monthly Finance review meetings with the senior management team, reporting on performance, highlighting any issues or risks
Report on WIP, work with the senior management team to ensure this is well managed
Where appropriate attend client meetings to support contract team with commercial agreements
Carry out financial modelling and forecasting
Oversee cash flow and credit control
Oversee and support the payroll process
Ensure VAT and treasury requirements are completed in good time
Oversee the procurement and maintenance of the companys insurance policies
To build and maintain strong relationships with third parties such as the Bank and Accountants
Provide strategic and professional leadership on Finance projects
Develop and implement procedures and policies to ensure best practice is followed
Support in the commercial assessment of tenders as required

Person Profile:

A qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA)
Experience in a similar role
Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude, the ability to work to tight deadlines and balance your workload
Evidence of strong inclusive team working approach and ability to work with non-Finance staff
Ability to coach, delegate to and develop others
Strong relationship building skills
Proactive decision maker who can positively influence change
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Good time management and multi-tasking
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to take ownership and lead a team

Experience working within Facilities Services business
SAP experience


➢ Basic Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 (depending on experience)
