Contract Supervisor – Mechanical/Electrical & Fabric Services

FULL TIME – 40 hours per week


Salary: £36,000 to £43,000 (Subject to knowledge & experience)

Corrigenda are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Contract Supervisor to assist the Contract Manager with the day to day service delivery of a portfolio of contracts within Elmbridge & Merton areas, ensuring that contract Service Level agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved. The job will be based at our local Home Counties office in Camberley, with regular visits to our clients’ sites.


The role includes the supervision of a team of multi-trade engineers and specialist sub-contractors to complete Planned and reactive maintenance tasks, you will also be required to be professional and confident in a client facing environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):

Assist the Contract Manager with the daily delivery, implementation and on-going development of each of the contracts
Deputise for Contract Manager during periods of absence
Be on out of hours call out rota as required for escalation purposes
Provide technical and practical support to engineers
Carry out site visits as required, look at works with a view to estimating time and materials
Quoting works giving detailed breakdowns while defining exclusions and limitations
Ensure labour resources are planned for the works and coordinated. Help develop realistic working programmes
Keep daily check on labour resourcing to ensure smooth running of jobs and minimal waste of labour time onsite
Site Materials: ensure materials are available for the works to proceed and check pre-ordered materials available. During site visits check material requirements for the jobs and order if required to ensure sites are kept fed with materials to avoid labour stoppages. Check material quality as per specification or client
requirements and ensure timely delivery
Check documentation / paperwork has been submitted and completed correctly
Ongoing site monitoring of H&S compliance which includes inspections and compliance checks
Required to produce RAMS (risk & method statements)
Maintain a safe working environment for engineers, end users on site and general public at all times
Manage the delivery of the work onsite, organising labour and materials and carrying out onsite supervision
Provide additional onsite support (extra pair of hands) where required to help efficient operation
Carry out pricing of works using National Schedule of Rates (NSR)

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

Essential
A suitable City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification
Professional and confident in a client facing environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Be able to manage small projects works
Recognised Health and Safety training
Good understanding of Nation Schedule of Rates
Good practical and working knowledge of commercial plant rooms
Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
Good knowledge of quality assurance systems
Excellent people management skills
Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation
Full driving licence
Pass DBS / Police background checks for working in schools / Police stations etc
