Electrician - Southampton General Hospital

FULL TIME – 40 hours per week

Salary: Up to £37,000 (subject to knowledge and experience)

Potential Earnings: £40,500 (Subject to knowledge and experience)

Due to our continuous growth, Corrigenda are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated electrical engineer to take on responsibilities as part of our MTC small works contract. The role will be predominantly at our Southampton General Hospital site, however there will be requirement to assist other sites.

Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):

• Carry out organisation of electrical permits and following procedures satisfactory to the hospital specifications.
• Understanding of electrical systems and procedures set out by clients. (All necessary equipment / training will be provided)
• Participation of the out of hours call out rota
• Work flexible hours to suit business requirements
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, other engineers, end users on site and general public at all times
• Ability to work effectively on own or as part of team to ensure we meet our client contract expectations
• To collaborate with other engineers and site staff to arrange site access to required working areas
• A flexible approach to supporting other resources as required

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential
• A suitable City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification
• NVQ Level 3 / AM2 in relevant Electrical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 18th Edition
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
• Ability to work well on own or as part of team
• Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation
• Full UK driving licence
• Pass DBS / Police background checks for working in schools / Police stations

Desirable
• Test & Inspection Qualification
• Experience in a similar role and working sectors
