Job Summary

Due to ongoing growth, Corrigenda is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated electrical engineer to carry out PPM, reactive and quoted electrical works in Portsmouth. Your role will ensure services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, in line with current regulations and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):

Carry out electrical PPM tasks.

Carry out reactive planned and fault diagnostic work to various lighting and power distribution systems

Supply quote information to internal team.

Work closely with Supervisor and Management Team.

Comply to the company’s policies and procedures

Complete relevant documentation accurately and within a timely manner

Work flexible working hours to suit business requirements

Comply to H&S policies and procedures to ensure work is carried out safely at all times including working at height

Working at height to carry out maintenance repairs on lights in halls, lobby areas and streetlight etc. (All necessary equipment / training will be provided)

Liaise with sub-contractors to complete necessary repairs as required

Escalate issues to Supervisor/Manager immediately

Participation on the On-Call Rota

Represent the company in a professional and friendly manner at all times

To collaborate with other engineers and site staff to arrange site access to required working areas

A flexible approach to supporting other resources as required

Any other tasks required by company within skill set / experience

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

Essential

 A suitable City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification

NVQ Level 3 / AM2 in relevant Electrical discipline (or equivalent experience)

18th Edition

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Ability to work well on own or as part of team.

Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation

IT literate – Excel, Word (Laptop to be provided)

Full driving licence

Pass DBS / Police background checks for working in schools / Police stations.

Desirable

Experience in a similar role and working sectors.

Prior experience with working directly with clients.

Qualified in Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391)
