Job Summary
Due to continued growth, Corrigenda is looking for a Junior M&E Estimator to support our Capital Projects team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career—perhaps with some basic estimating experience, engineering knowledge, or a background in M&E/HVAC who is looking to develop professionally.
You will assist in preparing cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC projects ranging from £25,000 to £1.5 million. As we support our clients on their decarbonisation and sustainability journeys, this role offers fantastic exposure to modern, energy-efficient technologies and future focused project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):

You will receive training and guidance to develop your skills. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and competitive tenders using estimating software (training provided).
• Supporting the creation of qualitative documents for bid submissions.
• Reviewing tender documentation under guidance from senior estimators.
• Helping to identify any discrepancies between drawings, specifications, and tender summaries.
• Learning to read and interpret construction and M&E drawings.
• Supporting site surveys, client meetings, or tender interviews as required.
• Obtaining supplier and sub-contractor quotations and checking them against tender requirements.
• Helping maintain accurate cost databases, including materials and labour rates.
• Collaborating with internal teams to gather required bid information.
• Supporting commercial handover to the project delivery team.
• Acting as a professional point of contact for clients, with support from senior colleague

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential:
• Some experience or knowledge within the M&E or HVAC industry (e.g., engineering background, junior estimating experience, or similar).
• Ability to read or willingness to learn how to interpret technical drawings.
• Good attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to pass DBS / Police background checks for working in sensitive environments.

Desirable:
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., Contract Master or Ensign).
• Understanding of tendering or commercial processes.
• Any relevant qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering or construction.
