Job summary

Corrigenda is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Store Person/Delivery Driver to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring efficient delivery and collection of materials and equipment, maintaining an organised and safe working environment, and supporting the success of our projects.

Based at our Segensworth office, you will be responsible for servicing sites across Hampshire, Surrey, and West Sussex. This role requires strong organisational and practical skills, the ability to follow technical instructions, and an understanding of safe working practices.

 

Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):

• Material Collection and Delivery: Organise and carry out the collection and delivery of materials as directed by Project Managers. Early starts or late finishes may be required depending on project needs.
• Material Knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical materials to ensure accurate fulfilment of site requirements.
• Route Planning: Plan weekly diary and routes logically to minimise travel distances and optimise efficiency.
• Waste Management: Collect waste from sites, return it to the yard or designated disposal areas, and ensure compliance with waste separation and consignment paperwork requirements.
• Warehouse and Yard Management:
o Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse and external areas, ensuring clear access and fire escape routes.
o Ensure the COSHH register is up to date and chemicals are managed safely.
o Manage skip delivery and collection as required.
• Goods Management:
o Receive and record goods-in, notify appropriate managers, and segregate goods for stock or return.
o Track and record company assets, ensuring proper condition upon issue and return.
• Forklift Operations: Operate a forklift for unloading deliveries, warehouse organisation, and battery maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety checks.
• Hire Equipment: Collect and return hire equipment to external providers.
• H&S Compliance: Participate in toolbox talks and adhere to health and safety standards.
• Documentation: Use SMART devices to complete electronic records and documentation.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential:
• Full, clean UK driving license
• Confident in driving a transit-sized flatbed van, with proper loading and securing of materials
• Possess a valid Forklift driving qualification or have held one previously
• Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative, and part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in using SMART devices and completing electronic documentation
• Ability to pass DBS checks for work in schools
Desirable:
• Health & Safety qualification or ability to obtain a CSCS card.
