Bitterne Park Primary School – Plant Room Refurbishment

Contract details

Replacement of heating plant and heating systems across a combined infant and junior school. Within the Junior School plantroom, the removal of the existing 2 LTHW boilers, including flues, primary and secondary pipework/ pumps and controls, and replacement with 2 new high efficiency condensing LTHW boilers, including flues, primary and secondary pipework/ pumps and controls. In addition, the existing natural gas pipework distribution system was modified incorporating a gas safe system. Specialist companies were employed to design and install the controls and flue elements of the project.

Within the Infant School plantroom, the removal of the existing 3 Perrymatic boilers and 1 adjacent Boncioanni “summer” boiler, including flues, primary and secondary pipework/ pumps and controls, and replacement with 2 new high efficiency condensing LTHW boilers, including flues, primary and secondary pipework/ pumps, controls and modification to the natural gas supply and gas safe system. Specialist companies were employed to design and install the controls and flue elements of the project.

Within the Reception classrooms and associated common spaces accessed by reception aged children, (including corridors, classrooms, toilets, lobbies), new LST casings were fitted to the existing and new replacement radiators.
