Lingfield Primary School – Plant Room Refurbishment

Contract details

Complete refurbishment & replacement of all heating boilers & DHW heaters in two plant rooms. The Project comprised of 2 separate plantrooms within the school. The new heating systems include boilers, primary & secondary circuit, primary/secondary pumps, low loss header, pipes, valves, gauges, sensors and associated equipment.

Plant Room 071 – Kitchen Boiler Room

Three new gas fired condensing boilers and circulating pump have been installed to replace the existing within plant room 071. The boilers have been connected to the existing Low Pressure Hot Water heating system which has been retained. A new indirect Domestic Hot Water calorifier and circulating pump have been installed and connected to the existing Domestic Hot Water distribution. The hot water distribution is fitted with a pumped return to minimise dead legs and reduce the risk of Legionella growth. The new plant and equipment is operated and monitored by a new controls system.

Plant Room 072 – Courtyard Boiler Room

Two new gas fired condensing boilers and circulating pump have been installed to replace the existing within plant room 072. The boilers have been connected the existing Low Pressure Hot Water heating system which has been retained. The new plant and equipment is operated and monitored by a new controls system.
